Hi,
I'm looking for good recipes for high carbohydrate intake. I and a few chums are going to be doing The Three Peaks Challenge in June and will need some good high carb food to help with training and before we set off. Any suggestions? We have a fab site where you can see us in our glory. Also pledge us some money for charity. go to www.k3p.webeden.co.uk

When I was training for a marathon it was all pasta, bread and very little finesse! I found it best to stay away from strong flavours (especially too much garlic or onions) and spicy stuff (all the things I love!) otherwise I just felt sick when running. Bananas were very handy, and although I'm sure people will disagree, the odd shot of espresso often did wonders before a training session!
I'm afraid delicious recipes weren't my forte for carb-laoding....getting it in was my main concern! Good luck :)

Chocolate is always a good way to get the sugar levels up...any excuse!
